How do I file for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit?
- Simply fill out Arizona Form 321, “Credit for Contributions to Qualifying Charitable Organizations.” Download it HERE

What is a dollar for dollar Tax Credit?
- How It Works: The state of Arizona offers its taxpayers the opportunity to make contributions to schools and non-profit organizations that reduce the amount of tax owed to the state or increase the amount of the taxpayer’s refund, dollar-for-dollar. There are three main communities tax credit donations serve, and donors can contribute to any or all of them. For Red Rock Biker, your dollar for dollar contribution is eligible for this credit as follows: $400 for single filers/ $800 for joint.
NOTE TO DONOR: You must have a tax liability for at least the amount of your donation in order to take a tax credit. In other words, if you only owe $500 to the state of Arizona, you cannot receive $800 in tax credits.
What is the deadline for contributing?
- Arizona taxpayers do NOT need to make their charitable contributions to Qualifying Donor Organizations before December 31 in a given year in order to be eligible for state tax credits for that tax year.
- The state of Arizona allows taxpayers to claim tax credits for gifts through April of the current year for the prior tax year. For example, In 2020, the deadline for making a charitable contribution for the 2019 tax year under the AZ Charitable Tax Credit is April 15, 2020.
